Since the very first steps of this journey in the mid of the last century with the first transistor device, no other discovery of the human race has offered a comparable progress and led to similar ground breaking new ways of work. And all the time it is running “Fast Forward”.
This fascinating ecosystem of electronics development is what we are calling our home of business. As a company that develops and manufactures products to support semiconductor manufacturing companies with high-end inspection and review solutions, we are proud to be a part of this technology race.

… and ours is in the center of the semiconductor industry. The whole NEXony team has been working for many years in the center of this most innovative business field of the semiconductor industry. Having our base camp in the center of Germany’s Silicon Saxony offers us opportunities to be close to the pulse of the industry and cooperate closely with local champions. Nevertheless we are international – like the semiconductor industry footprint. With the support of international partners, we are able to supply and support our products wherever they are needed.
Meet the team
In the world’s most well-known city in the semiconductor sector, Dresden, Sarah Schubert and Björn Zimmer founded Nexony on October 30, 2019. Our company emerged as a spin-off from Unity Semiconductor GmbH (formerly HSEB Dresden GmbH) and builds on long-standing experience for optical inspection tools for the semiconductor industry. Since 2021, Nexony has been based in Radeberg and operates worldwide.
Behind the wheel
Sarah Schubert comes with a background in purchasing and production planning. She joined HSEB in 2010 and rose through the ranks to become production manager in 2015. She now leads operations as COO of Nexony GmbH.
Björn Zimmer has been a driving force in design and technology since 1997. With over 30 years of experience in special machine construction for the semiconductor industry, he progressed to become CTO of HSEB Dresden GmbH. Now, he leads Nexony GmbH as its managing director, bringing his extensive expertise to the role.
The team
With our team of 16 experienced employees, we work together to develop and deliver innovative solutions for our customers. We started as a contract manufacturer for other companies and have now developed our own platforms to deliver the custom solutions that you need.
